Filmscape

http://www.filmscape.co.uk

A site from the UK with an assortment of quizzes, quotes and trivia. You may disagree with some of the Factoids (trivia), which highlights one of the problems with film trivia: few trivia sites state primary references for the source of their information. The presentation is rather poor but a credible effort, nonetheless.

FilmWise

http://www.filmwise.com

Quizzes and contests by the score. A good collection of quizzes, both visual and text and some entertaining ideas, such as the Invisibles quizzes. The main shortcoming is that the films are heavily biased towards contemporary film and older films are rather neglected.

Moviejuice

http://www.moviejuice.com

A rather trite site that thinks it is a lot more amusing than it is. Its main feature is its movie reviews but don’t expect anything especially incisive.

Movie Mistakes

http://www.moviemistakes.com

There is something slightly irritating about people who enjoy finding small mistakes in a film. The mistakes are usually very small, insignificant visual errors. The real mistakes – such as why anyone bothered to make the film in the first place, or glaring historical inaccuracies in a film that purports to be true – are largely ignored. If you like feeling smug about spotting errors in films, then this is the place for you. Occasionally there is a gem of a mistake, but most are boringly petty. Aside from the mistakes, there are movie quotes and trivia, most of which come from the films released since 1980.

ScreenPlay

http://www.screenplayquiz.com

An enjoyable site with a good variety of quizzes and puzzles, from identifying a film from a five-second clip, a variation of the Six Steps to Kevin Bacon game and straight text or visual quizzes. The site is regularly updated, but still suffers from a dearth of questions pertaining to films released prior to 1980.
