Minimal design, a fairly predictable range of scripts, most drawn from the last 25 years, and sparsely annotated. Rather neglected and seldom updated. |

The primary purpose of the institute is to provide online screenwriting courses. It does also offer online shopping for a limited range of screenwriting software, books and back issues of Screenwriter’s Monthly. |

An new look for an old site and still undergoing development. Limited number of scripts and many are transcripts, but it is nonetheless a good resource. |

Film and TV scripts, transcripts and even Anime transcripts. An interesting aspect is that some scripts are offered in several versions from early drafts to shooting scripts. Quite a worthwhile site. |

Quite a good source for film scripts. The state of the script varies from early drafts, final drafts, shooting scripts, etc. The site relies on links to other sites for the actual scripts and you often find yourself two or three sites away from where you started but if you keep track of each jump you can also quickly build a good collection of script bookmarks. As well as scripts, there are reviews, who was nominated by the Academy each year and who won, and very brief biographical information on a selection of (mostly modern) writers. |

Not particularly attractive and not very current, it is still worth a look. The range of scripts is not brilliant but there are a handful you probably will not find elsewhere. |

Apart from screenplays, you’ll find reviews, articles, a discussion forum and interviews with stars and filmmakers. The list of scripts is respectable, but little you won’t find elsewhere. The links are a strange assortment and the pop-ups when you jump pages is very annoying, but it looks good and is worth bookmarking. |

Educational and collector’s resource for film scripts old and new. The site also includes a writer’s market where hopeful writers post a synopsis of their beloved script. Reading through the synopses makes you wonder if there is hope for humankind… |

An online shop for aspiring screenwriters. Mostly books to help you develop your script, hone your craft and present your script, but there are also services here to help review and refine your work. |

Amazon for the screen literati. Books, software, online courses – you can buy them here. It’s helpful to browse through the hundreds of books to help you become (or stay) a scriptwriter. Helpful, but frightening. There are also some useful articles thrown in for free. |
